When Israel obeyed the Lord they were blessed with an abundance in their crops and animals. When Israel rebelled that abundance disappeared. Eventually the Lord destroyed the city of Jerusalem and even the Temple of the Lord scattering the Israelites to foreign nations. The Israeli land become desolate and a place taken over by wild predators and foreigners.

With the Lord an abundance of provision will be given. There will be no lack of rain for crops nor lack of grazing land for cattle and sheep. No matter how many people there are there will always be enough to eat and drink for all. There will be so much that there would be spoilage.

In addition, as populations rise the Lord will provide more land. The Israelites were promised ever expanding borders. Eventually they would have spread all around the world. In that case, the Lord would add land by growing the planet and/or creating new continents.

The God of the Jews and the Christians created all things. Nothing is too difficult for Him. To provide for His creation is too easy for Him. The Lord does not just provide - He over provides. However, if His creation rebels against Him and would have nothing to do with Him then His blessings are pulled back dramatically.

The Lord’s blessing leaves those nations that reject Him and they are the ones lacking rain for their crops and grazing land for their cattle and sheep. Desolation and disease will be the ruler of those nations.

Seek the blessings of the Lord. Honor Him before everyone in obeying His commandments. He will shine His face upon you and all that you do. Your household will expand in great measure. Your wealth will overflow and you will live to a ripe old age. Love the Lord with all of your energies and it will be returned to you many times over. May it be so for you and your generations to come. Amen!
